For it’s second year, the Allentown Association hosted Exist: A Buffalo Pride Festival, a street festival showcasing local LGBTQ+ talent on historical Franklin Street. This event was centered around performances that told the stories of LGBTQ+ history through the ages, from the late nineteenth century until the revolutionary Stonewall riots of 1969 in New York City. They were looking for a design that was inspired by this era, but infused with a modern take on pride.
The poster for this event was focused around the talent from the show, with an illustration featuring each of their portraits in a cameo. The typography is a fusion of old and new, and the color palette was inspired by the rich pastels of the Victorian era. This identity was applied on social media graphics, banners, and other printed materials at the event.
